District Youth Leadership Training (DYLT)

Carroll District will be offering the EDGE training based course that is currently called TLT troop training. We will offer a sampling of the new NYLT style of leadership along with the TLT training that Troops should currently be using and few outdoor leadership skills in First Aid, Pioneering, and Fun.
This basic training course is for Boy Scouts who actively hold a position of leadership within the troop.
The training will focus on:
- BE- Introduction to what it takes to BE a Leader
- KNOW- Get to KNOW the Leadership Skills needed to be successful
- DO- Under the direction of a Scoutmaster, Create a Vision, Goals, and Action Plan to put the course material into action.
Scouts will work in Patrols of 8 scouts with a maximum or 64 participate. Maximum 3 scouts per Troop may attend at this time. We ask that for every 3 scouts sent from your troop for training that 1 adult volunteer attend to help with the program. Please mail all Scout and Leader forms together.
Medical forms A and B are required and will be returned at the conclusion of training.
Prerequisites
- Recommendation from your Scoutmaster to attend this training.
- Currently hold a position of leadership
