Status Update from Ethan Draddy

Dear Valued Under Armour Scouting Friends:

If you are like us, than we understand and empathize with the timeliness of the delivery in this test project.

We want to send you this note to share with you the facts:

  • The Boy Scouts of America National Supply Division is working with Under Armour leadership to resolve any legal issues, if any.
  • It is difficult to understand the complexities that occur when building a test with two organizations both with well known brands.
  • At this date, we do not have a set date for delivery of product.
  • We do feel both organizations are working hard and want this test to be successful.

That being said, here is what we offer you:

  • We will deliver your order when the product becomes available
  • We will make any adjustments for ranks or sizes that have changed in the delay.  Please email your change information to Natasha Barnes NBarnes@baltimorebsa.org
  • We will be happy to credit you the full amount of your order back to your credit card if you provide us the required information via telephone or email to Natasha Barnes 443-573-2517 or NBarnes@baltimorebsa.org
  • If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Eric Chase at EChase@baltimorebsa.org or 443-686-2448.

Thank you for your great interest in this great project.  It matters.

Yours in Scouting,

Ethan Draddy
Scout Executive

Baltimore Area Council is conducting a pilot to test a new Action Uniform developed in conjunction with Under Armour.

From BAC's website -

Here's our test....We're trying an idea.

Think of the Action Uniform idea as a tool in your tool belt. This idea is not meant to attack tradition ... just address relevance... relevance in the opinion of a boy...
a boy who would be a Boy Scout.

Our goals:

  • Goal #1: More Boy Scouts will wear their uniform in public.
  • Goal #2: More Boy Scouts will  wear their uniform to Boy Scout activities.
  • Goal #3: More boys will join and stay in Boy Scouts longer.
  • Goal #4: More minorities' parents and non-Boy Scouts will register as adult leaders.
  • Goal #5: More foundations and select community leaders support Scouting specifically due to this initiative.

The Action Uniforms will only be available for purchase through Baltimore Area Council's online store.  For more information and the link to the store, please visit BAC's website
